Solutions Engineer

We’re partnering with a defense-focused organization to identify an experienced Principal AI Solutions Engineer to lead the development of AI-driven automation solutions, system integrations, and reusable tools that improve operational efficiency.

This role will work closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, implement production-ready AI solutions, and ensure internal teams have the documentation, training, and resources needed to manage these solutions independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to assess workflows and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation.
• Design, develop, and deploy agent-based AI applications and process automation solutions.
• Build secure API integrations, MCP servers, and data connectors to connect internal systems and data sources.
• Implement solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs), retrieval techniques, and tool calling.
• Develop reusable templates, frameworks, and internal tools to accelerate future automation initiatives.
• Deliver comprehensive documentation, training, and operational runbooks to support long-term solution ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying production software using Python.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, retrieval systems, and AI agents.
• Experience developing MCP servers, API integrations, or comparable connectors in production environments.
• Ability to collaborate directly with non-technical stakeholders, lead technical discovery, scope projects, and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Pay: $111,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
