Solutions Engineer

A fast-growing water technology company is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support enterprise sales of its SaaS platform for water and wastewater utilities. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role partnering closely with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, deliver tailored demos, and drive deals from qualification through close.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery to qualify opportunities and uncover customer needs.
• Deliver tailored product demos and manage proof-of-concept engagements.
• Translate complex operational and compliance challenges into business value.
• Develop technical proposals and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to support deal strategy and customer outcomes.
• Maintain technical continuity throughout the sales cycle and post-sale handoff.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SaaS Solutions Engineering or technical pre-sales.
• Strong experience in technical discovery, qualification, demos, and proof-of-concept execution.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and business value to both technical and executive audiences.
• Experience partnering closely with Account Executives throughout the full sales cycle.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software and customer-facing sales processes.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel as needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience in water or wastewater, GovTech, SLED, environmental compliance, or regulated infrastructure.
