HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Solutions Manager with Pharma experience within Research & Development. Solutions Manager will manage Project of all sizes by representing your team externally with clients and internally by working with direct reports and supporting positions Solutions Manager who will be responsible for the P&L and provide Solutions. HCL Tech needs a Solutions Manager to join HCL Tech in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Must Have Experience :

• Experience Solutions Manager within Pharma & Research / Development who can provide solutions and take care of the P&L (Profit & Loss).
• Solutions Manager that has experience Managing P&L for the respective portfolio
• Solutions Manager who can present Capabilities.
• Solutions Manager who will Lead and coordinate all activities that are in scope of the project and will ensure on time delivery and within agreed budgets
• Manage day-to-day client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects
• Solutions Manager who has experience Fulfilling demand and onboarding the team members into the system
• Knowledge in AI would be a plus.

Overview of the Role

The Associate General Manager – R&D (Pharma) will play a pivotal role in steering research and development initiatives within the pharmaceutical vertical. This position is critical in shaping the company’s scientific strategy, accelerating innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact solutions. The role requires a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between scientific research and business objectives, contributing to HCLTech’s reputation as an industry innovator in life sciences and healthcare.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D teams focused on pharmaceutical projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of research initiatives, clinical trials, and drug development activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (regulatory, quality, business development) to drive project success and compliance.
• Identify emerging trends and technologies in pharma R&D to inform strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
• Develop and implement protocols for process improvement, risk management, and quality assurance within R&D operations.
• Represent the organization in scientific forums, industry conferences, and with key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and visibility.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation, budget management, and timely delivery of project milestones.
• Mentor and develop talent within the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Skill Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or Master’s) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, with demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale projects and teams.
• Proven expertise in clinical research, drug development, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with digital tools, data analytics, and emerging technologies in pharma.

Pay Range Minimum: 165,000k

Pay Range Maximum: 245,000k

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
