Solutions Specialist

Overview:

A Solutions Specialist serves as a key financial consultant for Timberland FCU members, specializing in account origination, consumer lending, and robust needs-based selling. This role requires extensive knowledge of credit union products, lending practices, and partner referral processes.

Core Account Origination & Relationship Deepening:

• Account Servicing and Onboarding: Efficiently and accurately open and service new and existing member accounts, including all checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts, ensuring compliance with CIP (Customer Identification Program) and all regulatory requirements.

• Relationship Management: Conduct in-depth financial reviews with members to understand their immediate and long-term financial goals, ensuring the appropriate structure and features are applied to all newly opened accounts (e.g., overdraft protection, electronic services enrollment).

• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all account opening and maintenance documents are properly executed, scanned, and filed according to credit union procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Specialized Consumer Lending:

• Consumer Loan Origination: Expertly manage the end-to-end consumer lending process for dedicated product lines, including:

o Auto Loans (new, used, refinance).

o Credit Cards (applications, balance transfers, limit increases).

o Signature/Personal Loans (debt consolidation, personal needs).

• Application Analysis and Decisioning: Interview loan applicants, and input loan applications accurately. Apply knowledge of lending guidelines to recommend products and services to members.

• Closing and Disbursement: Prepare and finalize loan documentation, communicate terms clearly to the member, and accurately process loan funding and disbursement.

• Loan Quality Control: Work proactively with the operations and lending teams to clear exceptions and ensure high loan documentation quality.

Solutions Referral and Partnership Cultivation:

• Internal Referral to Sr Solutions Specialist: Identify and cultivate opportunities for complex financial needs, generating smooth, qualified referrals to the Member Solutions Specialist III for specialized services, specifically:

o Home Equity Loans/Lines of Credit (HELOCs).

o Business Deposit Accounts and Services.

• External Partner Referrals (Mortgage and Investment): Proactively identify member opportunities during lending and account discussions that require the expertise of third-party partners and confidently generate qualified referrals:

• Mortgage Loans (Purchase/Refinance): Refer members interested in residential mortgage solutions to the designated Mortgage Partner.

Support and Mentorship:

• Timber Associate Backup: Be prepared to execute the full range of Member Solutions Specialist I duties as needed, including accurately processing complex teller transactions, maintaining cash drawer balance, and initiating early-stage product identification conversations.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to Timber Associates regarding complex transaction handling, basic account inquiries, and introductory product knowledge.

• Other duties as assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by the branch manager.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
