The Gennari Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our team and help shape the wine experience across one of our premium dining venues.

About the Role

As Sommelier, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences through expert wine service, education and curation.

Responsibilities include:

• Curating and developing award-worthy wine lists
• Creating wine programs aligned with seasonal menus
• Delivering exceptional wine service and guest engagement
• Providing expert food and wine pairing recommendations
• Educating and training front-of-house teams
• Managing cellar stock, inventory and purchasing
• Building relationships with suppliers and wineries
• Ensuring profitability through strategic wine selection
• Hosting tastings and special wine events
• Maintaining up-to-date wine industry knowledge

About You

• Previous experience as a Sommelier or Senior Wine Professional
• Extensive knowledge of Australian and international wines
• WSET Certification or equivalent highly regarded
• Passion for wine education and guest engagement
• Strong wine list development experience
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to train and inspire hospitality teams
• Strong commercial and inventory management skills
• Professional presentation and attention to detail
• A genuine passion for hospitality excellence
