About the role

This role involves performing ultrasound examinations across multiple areas including abdominal, pelvic, breast, thyroid, and other scans according to qualifications and competency. You will obtain clear and accurate ultrasound images, explain procedures to patients, and ensure their comfort, privacy, and safety throughout examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct abdominal, pelvic, breast, thyroid, and other ultrasound scans according to qualifications and competency
• Obtain clear and accurate ultrasound images
• Explain ultrasound procedures to patients
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout examinations
• Position patients correctly for scanning
• Identify and document normal and abnormal ultrasound findings
• Capture and label appropriate images and measurements
• Prepare preliminary findings for the doctor's review
• Communicate significant or abnormal findings to the attending doctor
• Ensure ultrasound machines and probes are properly maintained, cleaned, and disinfected after each examination
