Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sorter 2 to join our dynamic waste management and recycling team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting recyclable materials, ensuring environmental compliance, and maintaining a safe work environment. Your active participation will help promote sustainable practices and support our commitment to responsible recycling.

Duties

• Conduct manual sorting of recyclable materials, ensuring proper separation according to recycling regulations and safety standards.
• Manage the loading and unloading of recyclable materials using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
• Follow all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard handling procedures, and environmental compliance standards.
• Assist in landfill management activities by monitoring waste flow, ensuring proper placement, and supporting environmental protection efforts.

Requirements

• Knowledge of recyclable materials handling, sanitation practices, and hazardous materials regulations preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard prevention practices, and environmental compliance standards.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety protocol adherence.
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing manual tasks throughout shifts.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
