About the Role

HR Exports Private Limited is looking for a Sortex Machine Operator to operate and monitor Sortex/Color Sorting machines used in rice processing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient machine operation, proper sorting of rice, maintaining product quality, and minimizing product rejection and wastage.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Sortex/Color Sorting machines during production.
• Set and adjust machine parameters according to the required rice quality and production requirements.
• Monitor the sorting process and ensure proper separation of defective, discoloured, damaged and unwanted grains.
• Regularly inspect the quality of sorted and rejected rice.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain sorting efficiency and product quality.
• Monitor machine performance, feed rate, rejection percentage and production output.
• Identify and report machine faults, abnormalities or breakdowns to the Plant Supervisor/Production Manager.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the Sortex machine.
• Maintain proper records of production, machine operation and rejection levels.
• Coordinate with the Production, Quality and Maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
• Follow all safety, hygiene and food-quality standards.
• Ensure proper housekeeping around the machine and work area.
• Follow production schedules and achieve assigned production targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience as a Sortex Machine Operator / Color Sorter Operator, preferably in a rice mill or food-processing plant.
• Knowledge of rice sorting and grading processes will be preferred.
• Basic understanding of Sortex machine settings and operation.
• Ability to identify different types of rice defects.
• Basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.
• Good observation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in shifts and in a plant environment.
• Responsible, disciplined and safety-conscious approach to work.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
