Role Description The Sortex Plant Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring Sortex machines and related equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality sorting of agricultural produce. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jodhpur and involves setting up machines, adjusting parameters, and inspecting output to maintain required quality standards and minimize wastage. The operator will oversee plant operations, coordinate with the quality team for sampling and testing, and perform routine checks to detect and resolve operational issues. Daily tasks include basic maintenance, cleaning, and safe handling of materials, as well as accurate record-keeping of production data and machine performance. The role may also involve assisting with loading/unloading operations, adhering to safety and hygiene protocols, and collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in plant operations and production monitoring within an agro-processing or food processing environment.
• Candidates should possess skills in machine operation, including setup, parameter adjustment, and troubleshooting of Sortex or similar sorting equipment.
• Candidates should possess relevant quality control skills, such as visual inspection, sampling, and adherence to product quality specifications.
• Candidates should possess maintenance skills for routine checks, basic mechanical upkeep, and timely reporting of technical issues.
• Candidates should possess safe material handling skills; forklift operation or experience with material movement equipment is an added advantage.
• Basic technical or vocational qualification in engineering, agriculture, or industrial trades is preferred; prior experience in grain, seed, or commodity processing is advantageous.
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintain documentation, work in shifts, and adhere to safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work collaboratively within a diverse, gender-neutral team environment.
