Sorting Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sorting Officer to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting, organizing, and preparing shipments to ensure smooth warehouse distribution and order fulfillment processes. Responsibilities

• Accurately sort incoming and outgoing packages using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other tracking tools
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods
• Assist with order picking and packing activities to fulfill customer orders efficiently
• Manage the loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring proper handling and documentation
• Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring items are correctly labeled and stored according to warehouse procedures
• Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipment details, updating inventory records in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily distribution targets while adhering to safety protocols

Experience

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution operations
• Hands-on experience with order fulfillment, order picking, and packaging tasks
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, or similar equipment (certification preferred)
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP systems such as AS400, or equivalent inventory software
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipment quantities accurately
• Experience in shipping & receiving processes within an e-commerce or logistics setting
• Strong understanding of load & unload procedures and safety standards in a busy warehouse environment

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
