Sorting Room Worker

Schedule/Hours: M– F 10:00a.m.– 3.30p.m. (29 hours per week)

This position is responsible for:

Receive, sort, price and prepare donated item for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assist in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the Wearhouse area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hang clothing on hanger and place same clothes on rack

• Pack items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures

• Maintain warehouse area in a neat and order manner; clean floors, tables, and work areas.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to sort items in accordance to established categories

• Abilit to determine the condition of the items in accordance to established standards

• Ability to speak English language

• Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push push/pull moderately heavy objects (25-50 lbs)

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.

• Moderate mobility: Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent

• change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.

• Work is performed in warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes or discomforts in weather, noise, dust, dirt and the like.
