Position Title: Sound Engineer

Department: Production / Studio / Broadcast

Reports To: Technical Head / Production Manager

Role Overview:

The Sound Engineer is responsible for capturing, mixing, editing, and enhancing audio for recordings, live productions, OTT platforms, and broadcast environments. The role requires technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to ensure high-quality sound output across different mediums.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage audio equipment, including microphones, mixing consoles, amplifiers, and DAWs.

Handle live sound mixing for events, studio productions, and OTT broadcasts.

Record, edit, and mix dialogue, music, and sound effects to meet project requirements.

Perform sound checks and maintain optimal sound levels during live/studio sessions.

Collaborate with directors, producers, musicians, and technical teams to deliver the desired sound output.

Apply audio processing techniques such as EQ, compression, noise reduction, and mastering.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during recording or live events.

Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper functioning of all audio systems and equipment.

Ensure compliance with broadcast and studio sound standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, or related field.

Proven experience as a Sound Engineer in studio, live sound, or broadcast environments.

Strong knowledge of DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton, etc.).

Hands-on experience with audio mixers, microphones, amplifiers, and signal processors.

Excellent understanding of acoustics and sound design.

Ability to work under pressure, especially in live production scenarios.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Creativity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with OTT platforms, broadcasting, or film post-production.

Familiarity with Vmix, OBS, or other live streaming software.

Knowledge of audio networking protocols (Dante, AES67, AVB).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
