About the role

You'll manage sourcing across two tracks: local Malaysian suppliers for urgent, fast-turnaround jobs, and overseas suppliers, primarily China and Vietnam, for longer lead-time, cost-sensitive orders. You're expected to find suppliers independently, negotiate directly, and own the relationship from first contact to delivery. Most of our orders require quick turn-arounds, so you need to move fast, stay organised, and know who to call.

Key responsibilities

• Source and manage Malaysian suppliers for urgent and short lead-time production
• Organise logistics for local orders end-to-end, collection, delivery, handoff
• Maintain a reliable bench of vetted local vendors across product and packaging categories
• Negotiate pricing and lead times under time pressure
• Source from China, Vietnam, and other markets for cost-efficient, longer lead-time orders
• Liaise with in-house China shipping team to coordinate freight and customs
• Build and expand the overseas supplier network across merchandise and packaging
• Track and manage timelines across multiple concurrent overseas orders
• Prepare and send RFQs to suppliers with complete specs; work with client servicing on pricing strategy and proposal preparation
• Evaluate new suppliers: samples, pricing, lead times, MOQs, and production capability

About you

• Hands-on sourcing experience: merchandise, packaging, or print manufacturing
• Comfortable negotiating directly with suppliers on price, MOQ, and lead times
• Able to manage multiple live orders and supplier timelines simultaneously
• English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
• Resourceful - finds suppliers and solutions without being told where to look
• Understands basic product specs, materials, and print/production requirements
• Bahasa Malaysia for local logistics and vendor communication (good to have)
• Vietnamese or other Southeast Asian language (good to have)
• Existing supplier network in MY, CN, or VN (good to have)
• Experience with freight coordination or import/export basics (good to have)
