Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering
• 3-4 years working experience in Sourcing/ Procurement activity for Manufacturing industry
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Good understanding in procurement processes, policies and procedures
• Strong in negotiation skills
• Good communication in English and Malay
• Familiar with SAP is an added advantage
• Willing to travel

Tasks:

• Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials and components from both local and oversea vendors for designated products
• Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the projects
• Create a quotation comparison list to identify vendors/ suppliers reliability in terms of cost, delivery time and quality
• Evaluating supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
• Conduct the localization/ Cost Savings Project
• Assist QC and Production team on parts/ components quality and specification issue
• Support and participate in New Supplier Development Activities
• Visit new and existing vendor locally and overseas for parts progress, technical clarifications, documentation checks and all related issues to IKA orders
