Sourcing Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Source and develop new suppliers for mechanical, electrical, plastic, metal, machining, sheet metal, PCB, cable assembly, and custom components.
• Manage RFQ activities, including supplier selection, quotation comparison, cost analysis, and recommendation.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by identifying capable suppliers and ensuring timely material readiness.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead time, MOQ, tooling cost, and commercial agreements.
• Lead cost reduction and value engineering (VE) initiatives with suppliers.
• Work closely with Engineering to review drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate sample submission FA and qualification activities with suppliers and Quality teams.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
• Perform supplier audits and supplier capability assessments when required.
• Resolve supplier-related technical and commercial issues.
• Maintain sourcing database, approved supplier list (AVL), quotation records, and sourcing documentation.
• Support procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings for project development and supplier management.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.

Job Requirements:

• Preferred 3 - 5 years of experience in sourcing engineer.
• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Supply Chain Management)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability in delivering results.
• Able to perform under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• High level of ownership and accountability.
• Adaptable to changing business priorities and customer requirements.
