Sourcing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing activities for assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with global sourcing strategy and business needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Collaborate with the global sourcing team to understand and translate supplier requirements and capabilities.
• Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and value.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by coordinating with suppliers on component sourcing and qualification.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks in coordination with global stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve supplier-related issues.
• Support supplier audits and capability assessments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in sourcing, commodity management, or supplier management, ideally within Electronics Manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of sourcing processes, commodity strategy, and supplier management.
• Independent, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
• Enjoy challenges and is comfortable navigating complex supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English (required); fluency in Chinese is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working with and coordinating across a global team.
• Willingness to travel is needed to support supplier visits and audits.
