Sourcing Executive (Chinese Speaking)

About the role

To support the sourcing and procurement activities for Non-Food merchandise categories by identifying new suppliers, managing product development processes, coordinating quality assurance requirements, following up orders, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The role requires effective communication in both English and Chinese to support international sourcing activities and supplier negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new suppliers for Home Décor, Recreation, Household, and Seasonal products
• Conduct supplier inquiries, product assessments, and quotations sourcing
• Analyze supplier capabilities, pricing, quality standards, and delivery performance
• Maintain and expand supplier network to support business growth
• Coordinate sample collection and review at each stage of product development
• Monitor product specifications, quality requirements, and timelines
• Ensure samples meet company standards before mass production
• Coordinate with QA teams and suppliers to verify quality documents and compliance requirements
• Perform order follow-up and monitor production status to ensure on-time delivery
• Conduct negotiations on claims, quality issues, delivery discrepancies, and compensation with suppliers

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or related fields

• 3-6 years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Merchandising, Product Development, or Supply Chain Management

• Experience in retail, FMCG, import/export, sourcing offices, or trading companies is preferred

• Experience dealing with China-based suppliers is highly advantageous

• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) for business communication

• Ability to communicate, negotiate, and correspond directly with overseas suppliers in both spoken and written Chinese
