Sourcing Executive

We are seeking an operational and highly organized Electronics Sourcing Executive to manage the day-to-day procurement, supplier coordination, and component tracking for our electronics production. You will act as the vital link between our engineering department, production floor, and component distributors, ensuring that all electronic components (ICs, passives, PCBs, and electromechanical parts) arrive on time, meet quality standards, and stay within budget.Key Responsibilities

• BOM & RFQ Execution: Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) from the engineering team, distribute RFQs (Request for Quotes) to approved electronics distributors and manufacturers, and compile competitive price comparisons.
• Order Management & Expediting: Issue purchase orders (POs) and aggressively track supplier delivery schedules to prevent production line stops, escalating potential delays early.
• Alternative Component Sourcing: Assist engineering teams in finding cross-reference parts or alternative components when primary parts face long lead times or end-of-life (EOL) status.
• Supplier Coordination: Maintain daily communication with local and international electronics vendors to monitor order status, resolve shipment discrepancies, and manage invoice matching.
• Inventory & MOQ Optimization: Monitor stock levels and collaborate with production planning to balance Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) with inventory holding costs.
• Data Maintenance: Keep the ERP system accurately updated with latest component pricing, lead times, manufacturer part numbers (MPN), and supplier contact details.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing within the electronics, EMS, or high-tech manufacturing industry. Fresh graduates with a strong engineering background are welcome to apply.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic knowledge of electronic components (semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, PCBs) and ability to read component datasheets.
• High proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data analysis and BOM comparison.
• Prior experience using ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kingdee) or inventory management systems is highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, persistent follow-up skills, and the ability to work under tight manufacturing deadlines.
• Cost Optimization: Conduct spend analyses to implement cost-saving strategies.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
