Sourcing Manager

• Develop sourcing strategies for the APAC region aligned with global category strategies, business objectives and global strategic sourcing priorities
• Develop the sourcing framework/strategy and drive sourcing plans that will result in cost savings/greater efficiencies
• Partner with internal stakeholders to establish spend baselines and annual savings targets, ensuring alignment and formal savings validation
• Conduct comprehensive market and industry research to identify, assess, and qualify potential suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards of quality and reliability.
• Lead supplier benchmarking, evaluations, and recommendations through systematic investigations, on-site audits, and visits.
• Oversee contract and price negotiations and facilitate the selection and onboarding of suppliers.
• In close collaboration with internal stakeholders (retail operations, store design construction, supply chain, IT) and international partners to ensure sourcing initiatives support business objectives and meet global standards.
• Steer critical procurement projects, including supplier development, cost optimization, risk management, and the enhancement of supply chain flexibility and resilience.
• Drive cost savings and value generation through strategic negotiations, process improvements, and analysis of key cost drivers
• Develop, Cultivate and maintain long-term, collaborative relationships with key strategic suppliers, foster joint innovation initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and transparent communication channels.
• Establish, track, and analyze supplier KPIs using dashboards/scorecards and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
• Conduct systematic supply chain risk assessments for critical categories, identify potential supply chain disruptions early, and develop and execute robust contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
• Manage the onboarding process for new suppliers in APAC by conducting background and compliance checks
• Ensure ethical supplier practices and compliance with IT/data security regulations.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy

Key Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years extensive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, End-to-end sourcing execution with international trade, logistics and supply chain dynamics in China or Asia.
• Experience with procurement tools (e.g. Coupa, SAP, spend analytics)
• Experience running competitive bids and managing supplier performance
• Familiarity with demand management and category optimization
• Basic experience with Coupa or other P2P applications (e.g. Ariba), including invoice approval activities, purchase order creation, and familiarity with document approval workflows  Additional knowledge of P2P systems administration and configuration, as well as supplier onboarding tools (e.g. Coupa- or Aravo-like platforms), will be considered a plus
• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting terminology, such as tax codes, document types, and chart of accounts
• Strong critical & analytical thinking, negotiation abilities, and demonstrated intercultural competence
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects / initiatives simultaneously, often across different business units and timelines Adaptability in fast-paced global environments
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
