Job Title: Sourcing Manager

Location: Newark NJ 07102

Duration: 5 months possible ext

Type: Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Leverages external capabilities, optimizes and protects the supply chain and ensures responsible and continuous supply of materials, services and finished goods.
• Partner with Commercial stakeholders (e.g. sourcing, operations, transactions, SQA, etc.) to develop and deploy best practice processes, tools, guidelines and systems. Develops and deploys learning and development strategy, programs and tools to enable development of functional capabilities within the Commercial function on a global basis.
• Commercial Systems roles focus on vendor selection, configuring, maintaining, and generating reports for a Commercial system including: Processing information and maintaining records in the system
• Generating reports and conducting analyses on data Ensuring the accuracy of information entered into the system and testing new features of the system as they are implemented to verify accuracy of procedures

Requirements

• Approximately 5+ years of procurement/strategic sourcing experience.
• Minimum 2y Packaging sourcing experience.
• Demonstrated experience running supplier negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend, pricing, market data and commercial scenarios.
• Maintain accurate pricing and commercial agreements following sourcing events.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management and supplier-relationship skills, with the ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Collaborate across Procurement, Operations, Supply, R&D, Quality and Finance to implement sourcing decisions and deliver business commitments.
• Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Strong commercial judgment and curiosity.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships.
• Contract negotiation experience beyond basic commercial terms.
• Financial Acumen – Familiar with concepts of forecast, budget, PPV.
• Commodity/index-based pricing experience.
• Advanced Excel SAP (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Experience & Preferred Skills

• FMCG/CPG experience.
• Experience with direct materials and manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to regional or global sourcing organizations.
• Cost-modelling or should-cost experience.
• Commodity/index-based pricing experience.
• Experience working across multiple countries/cultures.
• Experience with sourcing transformation, automation or process improvement**.**
