Sourcing Manager

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key raw materials, particularly resin, film, and other materials used in the packaging industry.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers across international markets.
• Manage sourcing activities across key overseas markets.
• Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial conditions.
• Monitor raw material markets, pricing trends, supply and demand dynamics, and market risks to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement while maintaining required quality and supply reliability.

Supplier Management

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key strategic suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and reliability.
• Work closely with Sourcing Engineers and relevant technical teams on new material development, supplier qualification, and material trials.
• Develop alternative sources and contingency plans for critical raw materials to minimize supply risks.
• Lead the resolution of supplier-related issues and ensure timely corrective actions.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop the sourcing team.
• Set team objectives, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Provide guidance and support in supplier negotiations, sourcing projects, technical evaluations, and problem-solving.
• Develop team capabilities and establish effective sourcing processes and best practices.

International & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with our overseas manufacturing operations to understand production requirements, material demand, and supply challenges.
• Coordinate with our overseas business and commercial teams to align sourcing and supply strategies with business requirements.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth and efficient material supply.
• Prepare and communicate sourcing, cost, supplier performance, and supply risk updates to management.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or Purchasing, with experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Strong experience in international sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience in sourcing raw materials for flexible packaging, plastic packaging, film blowing, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of resin, polymers, films, or other plastic raw materials will be a strong advantage.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven sourcing decisions.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, with confidence in communicating with international teams and suppliers.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, international, and cross-functional environment.
