Sourcing Officer

About the role

Mit Mongkol Industry Co., Ltd. is seeking a Sourcing Officer to join our Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory team. This is a full-time position based in Bangkunthian, Bangkok. As a Sourcing Officer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and securing suppliers and materials that support our manufacturing and logistics operations. This position is integral to maintaining our supply chain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards, directly contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and service criteria
• Conduct market research and analysis to determine competitive pricing and procurement opportunities
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliable sourcing and optimal terms of trade
• Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs) and manage the bidding process
• Analyse supplier proposals and prepare recommendations for procurement decisions
• Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with quality, delivery, and service standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier databases and documentation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including production, logistics, and finance teams to identify sourcing requirements
• Support inventory management by ensuring timely procurement of materials and components
• Assist in cost reduction initiatives and procurement process improvements

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control practices
• Proficiency in supplier evaluation and vendor assessment methodologies
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure competitive pricing and favourable contract terms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
• Fluency in Thai and English (both written and spoken) is essential
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and prioritise tasks effectively
• Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial procurement environments
• Preferred: Certification in procurement or supply chain management
