SOUS CHEF – CASUAL DINING

We are looking for a hands-on Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations in a growing casual dining restaurant specializing in Western-leaning comfort food.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or Senior Line Cook
• Experience in a casual dining restaurant, café, bistro, or hotel
• Experience with Western, Filipino, comfort food, or all-day breakfast is an advantage
• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, plating, and portion control
• With experience leading and supervising kitchen staff
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards
• Can work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Organized, detail-oriented, and team-oriented
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to work in White Plains, Quezon City

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
• Supervise and guide kitchen staff during food preparation and service
• Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion consistency
• Prepare and cook dishes based on recipes and standards
• Monitor kitchen workflow and timely food service
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
• Monitor ingredients, inventory, and proper food storage
• Assist with menu improvements and new dishes
• Train and support kitchen team members
• Coordinate with the front-of-house team for smooth service
• Take charge of kitchen operations when the Head Chef is unavailable
