Sous Chef

Are you a passionate, driven Sous Chef looking for your next challenge? We have just taken over a new pub venue in Carnforth and looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our team and work along side our Head Chef.

What you will be doing:

• working closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food every day
• maintaining consistency, quality and presentation across every dish
• preparing and cooking a fresh seasonal menu
• producing high quality stocks, sauces and fresh ingredients from scratch
• ensuring prep is completed to a high standard
• keeping the kitchen organised and service ready
• taking responsibility for running the kitchen on quieter days and supporting the head chef during busy periods
• maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & saftey

What we are looking for:

• previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef De Partie ready to take the next step
• experience working in a busy pub, restaurant or hotel kitchen with a focus on fresh food
• confidence in preparing fresh stocks, sauces and dishes from scratch
• a genuine passion for quality food and consistency
• excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• a positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to thrive under pressure
• a reliable team player who leads by example
