Sous Chef

About the role

As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef across all areas of the kitchen. This is a great opportunity to come into a new venue from the beginning, working alongside the Head Chef and senior management team to help establish the kitchen, build a strong team culture and deliver consistently great food.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the kitchen team during service
• Maintaining food quality and consistency
• Prep and service organisation
• Food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards
• Stock control and minimising wastage
• Training and developing junior chefs
• Assisting with ordering and kitchen operations
• Helping create a positive, professional kitchen culture

• Has solid experience in a busy, quality-driven kitchen
• Is confident leading a team
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Remains calm and organised during busy services
• Takes pride in presentation, consistency and quality
• Is reliable, hardworking and hands-on
• Wants to be part of building a successful new venue
