Sous chef

About the role

The Grosvenor Hotel is looking for a Sous Chef to join our historic inner-city pub. You will work across all stations, train other team members, and contribute to a kitchen that runs on good people, teamwork, and a love for food and produce.

Key responsibilities

• Work all stations in the kitchen
• Train and support other team members
• Lead, inspire, and keep energy high in the kitchen
• Maintain food hygiene and safety systems
• Help the kitchen stay at the leading edge of technology

About you

• At least 3 years of chef experience, with part of it as a Sous Chef

• Completed apprenticeship (preferred)

• Capable of working all stations

• Confident in training other team members

• Food Handling Certificate

• Strong focus on food hygiene and safety systems

• Flexible availability over a 7-day rotating roster, including nights and weekends

• Keen eye for detail

• Love for food and produce
