Sous Chef

Overview

Join our brand new team as a Sous Chef where passion for food and exceptional service shines. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving contemporary Canadian cuisine in a fast-paced, friendly environment. General kitchen management tasks will be daily routine. Your enthusiasm for quality ingredients, food preparation, commitment to food safety, and ability to deliver outstanding customer experiences will be keys to succes in this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mise en place and cook a variety of menu items with precision ensuring quality standards are met consistently
• General kitchen management, ordering, receiving and storage of products and some scheduling
• Assist in meal preparation, maintaining organized workstations
• Cleanliness is paramount
• Follow all safety protocols
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service

Qualifications

• Must have valid Canadian work permit
• Prior experience in restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of classic French and modern food preparation techniques and cooking methods
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service with enthusiasm and professionalism

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
