Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in supervising and managing the kitchen team
• Oversee food production and ensure high-quality standards are met
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create and develop new menu items
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques
• Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
• Assist in creating schedules and managing labor costs
• Help with menu planning and costing

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food production and culinary techniques
• Some skills in supervising a team of cooks and kitchen staff
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and hospitality industry

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
