Sous Chef

Overview: Act's as the primary assistant to the executive chef and manages daily operations. Responsible for leading the team, ensuring food quality, supervising staff, and handling operational logistics like ordering food and supplies. This leadership role requires extensive culinary experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under high pressure. PAY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE!

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that dishes meet the head chef's standards and ensures that compliance with health and safety regulations are met.
• Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and all other assignments as needed
• Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
• Maintain clean & sanitized work area during shift

Qualification/Skills:

• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
• Ability to follow directions and instructions

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Experience with different cooking methods and procedures
• Familiarity with high paced working environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
