Sous Chef

PepeNero is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our Italian fine dining kitchen. Our cooking centers on quality ingredients, fresh handmade pasta, and attention to detail in every dish.

We’re looking for someone with:

• At least 3 years of professional cooking experience, including fine dining.
• Strong skills in sauces, stocks, meat and seafood preparation, and precise plating.
• Experience leading the line, coordinating service, and supporting and training cooks.
• Good knowledge of prep planning, inventory, food safety, and allergen handling.

Italian cuisine and fresh pasta experience are a plus. We value an organized kitchen, clear communication, and a calm, respectful approach during busy service.

Pay and benefits: Starting at $26–$28/hour, depending on experience. Benefits include paid time off and a 401(k) with employer matching, subject to plan eligibility requirements. After 90 days, there’s an opportunity to transition to a salaried position with medical insurance, based on performance and mutual agreement.
