Sous Chef, Morning Shift

A new restaurant opening this November is hiring a morning sous chef. You'll run the breakfast and lunch line and work alongside our chef to build a strong kitchen from day one. What you'll do: - Lead the morning line under the chef, from opening at 6 AM through lunch. - Cook classic breakfasts, omelettes, hearty plates, sandwiches and lunch specials. - Handle opening prep, receiving and stock rotation, and get the kitchen ready for the afternoon crew. - Keep food safety tight, including handwashing, temperature logs, labeling and allergen controls. - Train and direct the morning cooks and dishwashers. What we're looking for: - 2+ years as a sous chef, lead cook or breakfast line cook in a busy restaurant. - Strong flat-top, egg and high-volume breakfast skills. Fryer experience is a plus. - A Washington food worker card, or the ability to get one within 14 days. - Reliable, organized, an early riser, and available weekends. Pay: starting at $27/hour, depending on experience. Schedule: morning shifts, about 5:30 AM to 2 PM. Full-time or part-time. Apply through Indeed with your resume.
