Sous Chefs

We pride ourselves on creating unforgettable experiences for both our local guests and international visitors.

We are looking for experienced and passionate Sous Chefs to join our talented kitchen team.

The Technical Bits:

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen (OR a relevant Level 5 Diploma in Culinary Arts).
• Proven experience leading a kitchen section under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations

Responsibilities Include:

• monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen and waiting staff
• training junior staff
• demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• ordering, preparing and cooking food
• explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations

Hours of Work:

• You must work a minimum of 30 hours per week, usually you will work 40+ hours per week.
• Rotating roster, business is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Weekend work is essential.

Relocation and Place of Work:

• You will be required to work at 126 Church Bay Road, Waiheke Island.
• Residing on Waiheke Island is essential for this position. We can assist with initial accommodation when relocating to Waiheke.
