SOX - Manager

About the role

This is a remote, client-facing role in a rapidly growing practice within EY's Consulting Enterprise Risk team. You'll build client relationships with key stakeholders, including management executives for globally recognized brands, gaining deeper understanding of complex business transactions while recommending solutions to pressing business challenges and process inefficiencies. You'll team with performance improvement professionals in multidisciplinary engagements, helping major global clients transform and sustain business performance. The team leverages emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, and Advanced Analytics to enhance Internal Audit and internal control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of Staffs and Seniors across locations to manage delivery of SOX engagements including scoping, test of design, test of effectiveness and reporting for multiple processes across clients
• Provide guidance to Staff and Senior members to conduct effective assessment to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
• Conduct and lead control rationalization and standardization activity or re-design existing controls for business processes
• Evaluate control gaps noted during design or operating effectiveness testing, provide recommendations and track remediation
• Define budget, track actuals against budget and manage resource planning and scheduling
• Independently manage client process owners with minimal supervision
• Meet quality guidelines within established turnaround time to drive value for the client
• Demonstrate application and solution-based approach to problem solving while executing client engagements
• Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate on a timely basis
• Spearhead the team performing analytics and benchmarking activities for clients

About you

• More than 7 years of Big 4 or professional firm experience in risks and controls, with more than 4 years of experience in SOX or internal controls
• Strong understanding of SOX and COSO framework
• Strong academic history with degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or similar
• Strong multi-project management skills
• Skilled at collaborating, motivating and guiding high performance teams
• Cognitive problem-solving capabilities, quick decision-making skills and ability to handle complex situations with calm demeanor
• Exceptional command of spoken and written English
• Globally mobile and flexible to travel to onsite locations, if needed
• CIA certification is preferred
• Ability to think differently and innovate
