Spa & Recreation Trainee

We are looking for a Spa & Recreation Trainee to join our team for an approximate period of 6 months, supporting the day-to-day operations of our Spa & Recreation department and gaining hands-on experience in guest service, wellness and recreational activities within a professional hospitality environment.

This role offers the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of Spa & Recreation operations, from guest interaction and reservations to activity coordination, operational procedures and the overall wellness experience.

We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, service-oriented and detail-focused, with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in wellness, recreation and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Spa & Recreation team with the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Welcome and assist guests, providing a warm, professional and personalized service throughout their experience.
• Assist with spa and recreational activity reservations, managing bookings and ensuring that guest requests are properly recorded and followed up.
• Provide guests with accurate information regarding spa treatments, facilities, activities, schedules and services.
• Support the coordination and organization of recreational and wellness activities, ensuring they are properly prepared and communicated to guests.
• Assist with the preparation and set-up of spa and recreation areas, ensuring that facilities are clean, organized and ready for use.
• Monitor the availability of amenities, equipment and supplies, communicating any needs or shortages to the relevant team members.
• Support the team in maintaining quality, hygiene, safety and operational standards across the Spa & Recreation areas.
• Assist with the coordination of guest requests and work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, F&B and other operational teams when required.
• Support the management of guest feedback and assist in resolving day-to-day queries or requests, escalating issues when necessary.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including booking records, reports, schedules and operational documentation.
• Support the promotion and communication of spa treatments, wellness programs and recreational activities.
• Assist with special events, wellness initiatives and guest experiences organized by the Spa & Recreation department.
• Ensure that all guest interactions and services are delivered in accordance with the hotel's service standards and brand guidelines.
• Support the team with ad hoc projects and initiatives according to operational needs.
• Gain a broad understanding of the Spa & Recreation guest journey, from booking and pre-arrival communication through to the on-site experience and follow-up.
