Spa Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform a variety of nail treatments such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications with precision and artistry
• Apply advanced techniques including nail art, color theory-based designs, and intricate nail extensions to meet client preferences
• Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools, equipment, and workstations
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, recommend suitable treatments, and provide aftercare advice
• Upsell retail products related to nail care and beauty enhancements to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Stay current with industry trends such as esthetic laser treatments, eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, and dermabrasion to offer comprehensive services
• Ensure a clean, organized workspace that promotes safety and comfort for clients and staff alike

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with specialization in nail technology required
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in manicure, pedicure, gel manicures, acrylic nails, and nail extensions
• Knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing nail designs
• Familiarity with salon safety protocols including sanitation, disinfection procedures, and client hygiene standards
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
• Ability to perform detailed work such as nail art or intricate extensions while maintaining high standards of hygiene
• Experience with retail sales techniques including upselling products related to nail care and beauty treatments
