Spa Therapist

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, certified Spa Therapist to deliver high-quality massage and facial treatments in a calm, professional environment. The ideal candidate is client-focused, hygienic, and committed to helping guests relax, recover, and feel their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform massage therapies, including Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy, and hot stone, tailored to each client’s needs
• Deliver facial treatments, including deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, masks, and skin-rejuvenation therapies
• Consult with clients before each treatment to understand their needs, preferences, skin type, and any contraindications
• Recommend suitable treatments, packages, and skincare or wellness products
• Maintain accurate client records, including treatment history and consent forms
• Keep treatment rooms, tools, and equipment clean, sanitized, and well stocked in line with hygiene and safety standards
• Prepare treatment rooms before appointments and reset them afterward
• Welcome guests warmly and ensure a comfortable, professional experience from arrival to departure
• Handle client feedback and concerns politely, escalating issues to management where necessary
• Support spa sales targets through upselling and retail product recommendations
• Follow all spa policies, health and safety regulations, and confidentiality requirements
• Stay current on new treatment techniques, products, and industry trends

Qualifications and Requirements

• Recognized certification or diploma in Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy, Beauty Therapy, or a related field (e.g., CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a spa therapist in a spa, hotel, wellness centre, or salon
• Proficiency in a range of massage techniques and professional facial treatments
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, skin types, skin conditions, and treatment contraindications
• Familiarity with spa products, equipment, and hygiene protocols
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and personal grooming
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Physical stamina for standing and performing treatments for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional training in body treatments, waxing, or advanced skincare
• Experience with sales or retail in a spa setting
• Basic first aid certification
