Space Operations Research Analyst

Overview:

Join a team shaping the future of national security in the space domain. SPA’s Operations Research and C5ISR Analysis (ORCA) Group develops and employs simulation system products in support of operations, experimentation, and the acquisition analysis process.

Our space analytics projects tackle some of the toughest challenges in modern defense—helping decision makers understand operations problems and how space systems perform, survive, and deliver effects in complex and contested mission environments.

As a Space Operations Research Analyst, you’ll bring analytical curiosity, engineering thinking, and a passion for space to studies that directly influence the design, deployment, and employment of next generation space capabilities. You’ll collaborate with engineers, operators, and mission experts to build models, explore system behavior, and uncover insights that matter. #KS

• Execute simulations and operational analyses for real world mission scenarios
• Perform post processing and data interpretation to uncover key insights
• Create clear, compelling deliverables—technical papers, briefings, and visualizations
• Engage directly with customers, operators, and stakeholders to communicate findings and shape decision-making

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related analytical discipline
• Demonstrated interest in space systems, space operations, and national security missions
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
