Spain Internship

World Team brings more than 40 years of church planting experience in Spain. The World Team Spain team ministers in 6 different areas of Spain and have ministries that are committed to a national vision for church planting and to fostering an environment that

encourages innovation and long-term impact.

Sharing the gospel in Spain presents several challenges. Catholicism is widely regarded as a cultural identity rather than a personal faith, thus Spaniards tend to view forms of Christianity outside Catholicism with suspicion. While the evangelical church has grown, most of the growth is from immigration—particularly from Latin America—rather than from native Spaniards. Many Spaniards hold a deep distrust of institutional religion and need to witness authentic, lived-out faith over time before they are willing to engage spiritually.

A fresh wind of faith is needed in Western Europe today. Come to Spain and explore the challenges of sharing the Good News of the gospel in a place where secularism reigns and the Bible is seen as a thing of the past. Engage a people who no longer believe that God exists while you learn from missionaries experienced in communicating God’s Word in a post-Christian climate. Opportunities to reach Spaniards are numerous, and our desire is to empower each person to maximize the use of his or her God-given gifts to serve.
