Job Overview

As a Spanish-speaking Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll provide attentive, person-centered care and clear communication for Spanish-speaking patients and families. You’ll assess patient needs, coordinate care, and document accurately while protecting privacy. Your impact: By communicating care instructions in Spanish and English, you help patients and caregivers understand next steps and make informed care decisions.

Duties

• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and support treatment plans within your license and applicable protocols.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care teams in Spanish and English; provide caregiver communication and health coaching as appropriate.
• Coordinate intake, triage, referrals, and discharge planning; escalate changes in condition promptly.
• Maintain medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR), following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, clinical confidentiality policies, and infection control practices.
• Support patient care across relevant settings, such as clinics, hospitals, home care, senior care, or long-term care, based on the role’s needs.

Requirements

• Current LPN or RN license required; ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and English.
• Required: patient assessment, medication administration, vital signs, nursing fundamentals, and accurate medical documentation.
• Preferred: experience in medical office, hospital, acute care, critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, memory care, hospice, skilled nursing, assisted living, or home and community care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) or EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is an asset; knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, or ICD coding is also valued.
• Additional relevant skills may include IV infusion, catheter care, phlebotomy, injection administration, basic life support (BLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and care for people with disabilities or developmental disabilities.

Pay: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour
