Spanish Speaking Medical Assistant

Newton Pediatrics is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our busy, growing pediatric practice, with locations in Wellesley and Waltham. Travel between offices is required.

We are affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital and are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and their families.

A Spanish-speaking MA is strongly preferred. The ability to communicate comfortably in Spanish with our patients and families is an important part of this role.

Schedule

• Monday–Wednesday: 8:45 AM–7:00 PM
• Thursday–Friday: 8:45 AM–5:00 PM
• One late day per week required (8:45/10:00 AM–7:00 PM)
• Occasional weekend hours

Requirements

• MA certificate
• Previous Medical Assistant experience required
• Experienced vaccinator
• Comfortable working with children and families
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric practice
• Ability to travel between our Wellesley and Waltham locations
• Spanish-speaking strongly preferred

Responsibilities Include

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs and patient histories
• Preparing patients for provider visits
• Administering vaccinations and performing finger sticks
• Point-of-care testing, including Strep, COVID, Flu, RSV, Mono, Lead, Hemoglobin, Urinalysis, and Cholesterol
• Assisting providers with examinations and procedures
• Collecting and documenting patient information accurately
• Communicating with patients and families regarding appointments, follow-up, and practice instructions within the MA role
• Help with front-desk duties and other office needs when the nursing team is fully staffed
• Supporting providers and the clinical team throughout the patient visit
• Maintaining exam rooms and clinical supplies
• Building strong, positive relationships with patients and families
• Participating in practice projects and other clinical support duties as needed

Pay: $24–$28/hour, based on experience.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
