Spare Driver: Part-Time | City Wide Transportation

Location: Clay County Schedule: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday (split shift)

About Us

City Wide Transportation is a non-profit organization that has served the Clay County community for over 25 years. We operate passenger vans and wheelchair accessible vans, providing door-to-door transportation for developmentally disabled adults to and from work and home. All service is within Clay County.

The Position

We're looking for a self-motivated, responsible spare driver to join our team. This role requires the ability to learn and drive multiple routes, including a wheelchair route when necessary. Drivers must be able to bend at the waist or squat periodically to properly secure wheelchairs to the vehicle floor.

This is a great part-time job for someone with driving experience who is looking for extra income.

Requirements

• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Valid driver's license, and willingness to obtain a Chauffeur's License
• Previous driving experience of 2 or more years
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times during a route
• Reliable attendance Monday through Friday
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Follow all traffic regulations
• Perform all responsibilities, duties, and job functions in a professional manner
• Willingness to perform additional duties as necessary
• City Wide is a drug-free workplace

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip inspections and daily driving logs
• Keep the vehicle clean and fueled
• Communicate promptly with dispatchers
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately

Benefits

• Monday-Friday only, with a split shift (A.M. and P.M. routes)
• Clocked out by 5:30 p.m.

Pay: $100.00 - $115.00 per day
