Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Special Education Paraprofessional with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
Assist teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and lesson plans tailored to students’ unique needs.
Support students with disabilities by providing physical assistance, behavioral management, and classroom support to promote engagement and independence.
Utilize communication skills such as American Sign Language and other methods to facilitate effective interaction with students who have communication challenges.
Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques aligned with best practices for students with special needs.
Collaborate closely with teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to develop and execute strategies that support student success.
Assist in preparing instructional materials, adapting activities for diverse learners, and supporting literacy education, math skills, and early childhood development.
Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to privacy policies while supporting classroom activities.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in special education or certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or related fields is preferred.
Experience working with children or students with disabilities in educational or childcare settings.
Knowledge of childhood development, classroom management, behavior management techniques, and special education practices.
Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders support strategies, Deaf education, and early childhood education is highly desirable.
Ability to communicate effectively using verbal skills and American Sign Language if applicable; strong writing skills are also important.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, parents, and other team members to support student needs.
Physical ability to assist students with mobility or daily activities as required within a classroom environment.

Pay: $23.12 - $25.85 per hour
