SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS TEACHER

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Teacher to join our vibrant team at Joyous Education (Eco Botanic, Sutera, Adda Heights, Molek & Eco Palladium) Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru, Johor. This full-time role will involve teaching and caring for young children, with a focus on delivering high-quality Chinese language and special education support.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing individualised education plans to address the unique learning needs of students with special educational requirements

1. Delivering engaging and inclusive lessons using a variety of teaching methods and strategies
2. Collaborating closely with parents, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
3. Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching approaches as needed
4. Maintaining thorough records and documentation to track student achievements and challenges
5. Participating in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge
6. Fostering a positive, nurturing, and supportive learning environment for all students

What we're looking for

1. A degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
2. Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Special Education Need Teacher or in a similar role
3. Strong understanding of special educational needs and effective teaching strategies
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
5. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with diverse learning needs
6. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual student needs
7. Proficient in written and spoken Mandarin/Chinese (the role involves teaching Mandarin and communicating with students and parents)
