Job Overview

Classic City Catering, a high-volume full-service catering company located in downtown Pensacola, is seeking dependable part-time employees to join our kitchen team.

Unlike a traditional restaurant, our food service operation supports catered events of varying sizes and schedules. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the fulfillment of duties during catered functions. These events are off premises and will require travel to local venues. Carpooling is a must for our staff as we sometimes have limited access to parking at the event site. If you are required to drive to an event, reported milage is compensated.

As we enter our busy season, we anticipate consistent work over the next several months. This position may have some full-time opportunities but most of the work will be as needed, sometimes less than twenty hours per week.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, service, and breakdown of catered events at a variety of off-premises venues.
• Assist with loading and unloading of company vehicles as needed.
• Assemble appetizers, sauces, desserts, and prepare other food as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and event workspaces throughout the event.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures as applicable.
• Adapt to changing event needs and assist with on-the-fly tasks and priorities when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to help maintain smooth event operations.
• Ride with company personnel or travel to event locations assigned.
• Perform additional event or operational duties as needed based on business demands.

Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic knife skills.
• Knowledge of food-safety practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, reach, and remain standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work under instruction and maintain productivity without constant supervision.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
