AFTER-SCHOOL HOURS • 5 DAYS PER WEEK • AUTISM EXPERIENCE PREFERRED • IMMEDIATE START

From The Heart Home Care is URGENTLY HIRING a dependable, compassionate, and reliable Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for a pediatric client assignment in Gaffney, SC.

This position involves providing one-on-one care and support to a school-aged child with special needs during after-school hours.

We are looking for someone who is patient, attentive, understanding, and comfortable working with children who may require additional support with daily routines, communication, and personal care.

THIS CLIENT NEEDS TO BE STAFFED ASAP! We need a caregiver who is ready to start immediately and commit to a consistent after-school schedule.

Schedule

• 5 Days Per Week
• After-School Hours
• Consistent weekly client assignment
• Specific days and shift times discussed during the interview process
• IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED
• Opportunities for additional hours when available

Client Care & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, one-on-one care and supervision
• Assist with age-appropriate activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Support established daily routines and transitions
• Provide companionship and positive engagement
• Assist with personal hygiene and other care needs as outlined in the care plan
• Encourage independence and appropriate daily living skills
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
• Use patience and positive communication
• Follow the client's individual plan of care
• Complete required visit documentation
• Communicate concerns or changes to the office

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Professional caregiving/PCA experience preferred
• Comfortable working with pediatric clients
• DEPENDABILITY AND CONSISTENT ATTENDANCE ARE REQUIRED
• Patient, compassionate, attentive, and understanding
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to follow established routines and care instructions
• Must be available 5 days per week during after-school hours
• Able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
• Must have your own reliable personal vehicle
• Uber, Lyft, taxis, and other rideshare services do not qualify
• Must be able to reliably commute to Gaffney, SC
• MUST BE A CURRENT SOUTH CAROLINA RESIDENT
• Ability to pass required background screening
