Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Nanny to provide exceptional care and support for our medically complex son with autism. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build a special bond while ensuring his safety, and creating a nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and proactive, with a strong background in caregiving for children with disabilities or special needs. A background in nursing or CNA is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- After school care
- encouraging communication through his AAC device
- Encouraging living skills (such as chores, dishes, taking the trash out, changing clothes etc)
- Going to an activity (Kidstrong, park, walk, or movies.
Skills
- experience working with children
- Have a passion for children with various disabilities
- Passionate about child development
