Special Project Officer - Project Implementation

About the role

Coordinate project implementation from planning to completion, monitoring timelines, milestones, deliverables, risks, and outstanding issues. Follow up with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders to identify project delays or bottlenecks and coordinate timely solutions. Prepare concise progress updates, reports, and presentations for Management, ensure project decisions, action items, and documentation are properly tracked, and support Management on special projects and urgent implementation matters.

• Follow up with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders
• Identify project delays or bottlenecks and coordinate timely solutions
• Prepare concise progress updates, reports, and presentations for Management
• Ensure project decisions, action items, and documentation are properly tracked
• Support Management on special projects and urgent implementation matters

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project implementation, project management, operations, or strategic initiatives
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with contractors and stakeholders from China
• Good understanding of Chinese business practices and working culture, particularly in dealing with China-based contractors
• Experience working with Chinese contractors, suppliers, consultants, or project teams is highly preferred
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Execution-driven, proactive, organised, resourceful, diplomatic, and able to work effectively across different cultures and stakeholder groups
