Cronan Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Service & Maintenance Electrician who wants more than another electrical job.

This is a specialised technical position for an electrician whose capabilities extend beyond general installation work. You will service, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and critical building systems across complex commercial and industrial facilities.

Strong fault-finding ability, compliance knowledge, professional judgement and client service are essential.

No Two Days Are the Same

One day, you may be fault-finding at Disney Studios Australia.

The next, you could be inspecting a switchboard, replacing a main switch, commissioning a power meter or investigating a power-quality problem.

You may be testing a lightning-protection system, completing thermal imaging, maintaining emergency lighting, installing EV-charging infrastructure or helping an apprentice develop their technical skills.

Your Service and Maintenance Work

Working across Sydney’s commercial and industrial sectors, you will be responsible for:

• Commercial electrical service calls and reactive maintenance
• Planned and preventative electrical maintenance
• Advanced fault-finding, diagnostics and defect rectification
• Emergency breakdown response
• Switchboard inspections, servicing and upgrades
• Main-switch and circuit-protection replacements
• Power monitoring, metering and current-transformer installations
• RCD injection testing and compliance reporting
• Emergency and exit-lighting testing, repairs and replacements
• Thermal imaging and electrical condition assessments
• Lightning-protection inspections and testing
• Power-quality and power-factor investigations
• EV-charging infrastructure
• Data, communications and fibre-optic systems
• CCTV, access control and integrated security systems
• Testing, commissioning and detailed technical reporting
• Quoting and completing minor commercial works
• Maintaining accurate service records and asset information
• Building trusted relationships with facility managers and clients

This position is focused on commercial service and maintenance, with smaller installations, upgrade works ajnd commercial projects forming part of the role.

You are not expected to arrive as an expert in every specialist system. However, you must bring solid commercial experience, genuine diagnostic ability and the drive to develop into a recognised technical specialist.

Essential Requirements

You must have:

• A current NSW electrical licence
• Strong commercial service and maintenance experience
• Proven electrical fault-finding and testing ability
• A current White Card
• A current Australian driver licence
• Sound knowledge of electrical standards and compliance
• The ability to interpret drawings, schematics and technical information
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Professional presentation and strong client-service skills
• A commitment to safety, accountability and continuous improvement

Experience with switchboard upgrades, power meters, CTs, emergency lighting, thermal imaging, data, fibre, solar or security systems will be highly regarded.
