Specialist 1, EHS Medic

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing occupational health services, medical room operations, employee health surveillance, and workplace hygiene programs for the assigned site.
• Lead and manage first aid response, emergency medical preparedness, health promotion activities, and compliance with applicable occupational health regulations and company standards.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational health, industrial nursing, employee healthcare, or related medical functions; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Occupational Health, Public Health, or an equivalent healthcare-related discipline. Valid Nursing Practice License is required.

Skills

• Leadership capabilities to coordinate site occupational health programs, emergency response activities, and cross-functional health initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp., external medical service providers, government agencies, and healthcare stakeholders.

Working Conditions

• Works in a combination of office, medical room, and manufacturing environments; may be required to respond to workplace medical emergencies and participate in emergency drills.

Physical Requirements Ability to perform emergency response duties, provide first aid assistance, move medical supplies and equipment, and walk throughout the manufacturing facility as required.

Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.

Quality And Environmental Responsibilities Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
