Specialist-Direct Purchasing(Engineer)

About the role

As a Specialist-Direct Purchasing(Engineer) at BMW Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., you will play a key role in the Purchasing for Motorcycle parts and inventory management operations. Reporting to the Purchasing team, this full-time position is located in Rayong and will involve managing the Purchasing of direct materials and components essential for the production process.

What awaits you?

• Manage BMW Plant Network pricing for Motorcycle parts suppliers serving for BMW Plant Rayong.
• Analyze and negotiate prices for a wide range of automotive components, including powertrain components, electrical systems, chassis parts, and interior/exterior trim.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and inventory levels to inform purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support production targets.
• Monitor and report on key procurement metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that the international privilege (FTA) and local privilege (TAI) are maintained.

What you should bring along?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international business background ,Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the automotive industry, preferably within international purchasing or supplier management.
• Experience in Material planning and shortage management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Basic understand of SAQ 5.0 or relevant, ISO/IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Good communication in English (with TOEIC score 550)
